No aid is given by the Fund, but the negro district directors agree to pay for the remodeling and to buy a library. It has a modern jacket store and good desks. D.L.S."

School is closed 6 weeks for cotton picking. Half the pupils are not supplied with books - those they do have are largely discarded, worn books from white schools. Mr Hariell inspecting"
