Unidentified School
Photo shows the rear view of an unidentified school in Mississippi, Missouri with a note on the photo that says "Miss. Co. MO., located in an all-negro district (over) and a handwritten note on the back that says "Aug. 1929 Miss. county MO. We went out to this school in the Mississippi bottoms over next to impossible roads. The school has light on two sides and in front of the children, but is the best rural negro school seen in S.E. MO. We helped the body Supt. plan to change the windows on other side. It will then be painted on inside to conform to our plans. No aid is given by the Fund, but the negro district directors agree to pay for the remodeling and to buy a library. It has a modern jacket store and good desks. D.L.S."
