A curated collection of letters, payment vouchers, receipts, expenditure statements, reimbursement statements, financial documents, and correspondence between the Julius Rosenwald Fund, the General Education Board, and board members of Rosenwald schools, addressing the affairs, welfare, finances, and management of completed Rosenwald schools across the South, as well as the shift from constructing new schools for Negroes to focusing on improving the welfare and sustainability of existing Rosenwald schools. This collection also contains copies of financial documents related to transportation aid, vocational equipment aid, college library aid, vocational supervisor aid, and state building agent aid for salaries and expenses from 1931 to 1933. Additionally, it includes financial documents detailing the fund's aid for completed schools by type, a study of expenses for the five-year shop supervision program, and schoolhouse construction reports from the inception of the Rosenwald Fund to 1932.
