This collection features letters to and from The Julius Rosenwald Fund in Nashville, Tennessee to the Kentucky State Department of Education in Frankfort, Kentucky detailing budgets for transportation of students, applications for new schools, building of schools, rural and high school libraries, and teacher's homes. It also contains some information on pay disparities between white and black teachers, statistics on public schools in the state of Kentucky, a shortage of black students at one of the schools, and a biennial report for the State of Kentucky. The correspondences ranged from March 1928 to December 1929.
