Many of his colleagues - including Mr. Charles S. Johnson, Mr. Clark Foreman, Mr. T. J. Woofter Jr., and Mr. Edmund deS. Brunner - referred others to move forward with this endeavor. Those referred include Miss Virginia Mae Argrett, Mrs. Elizabeth Healy Ross, Mrs. Edith Webb Williams, and Miss Helen Hay Heyl.
