A note on the front of the card says, "This school was never built. The Rosenwald money was refunded," and the on the back of the card, "to the Fund, Chicago in June 1931 and the Nashville office records changed reducing the total cost of the buildings in La and the amounts contributed from the various sources in keeping with the figures given on the inspection report, including the teacher type and people capacity."
