Candidates are grouped by fields of interest including Anthropology, Art including Art Education and Painting, Creative Writing, Education, Folklore, History, Journalism, Labor, Language and Literature, Political Science, Psychology, Religion, and Sociology. Some candidates had reappointments, including Mr. Byron Leslie Burford, Jr., Mr. Martin Dibner, Mr. Edward Flud Burrows, Mr. James Warren Prothro, Ms. Margaret Caldwell James, and Mr. Solomon Sutker.
