Description
A correspondence sent to members of the Fellowship Committee from members of the Art jury on May 3, 1947. Members of the Art jury include Mr. Dan Cotton Rich, Mr. Rainey Bennett, and Mr. Hale Woodruff. The correspondence contains information on candidates recommended for fellowship, candidates placed in the B group, and candidates eliminated from consideration. Painting candidates recommended include Mr. Byron Leslie Burford, Jr., Ms. Rose Theodora Piper, and Mr. Ellis Wilson. Sculpture candidates recommended include Ms. Marion Perkins and Mr. John Walter Rhoden. The illustration candidate recommended is Mr. Bernie H.
