A press release by Mr. Edwin Embree on May 18, 1945 announcing that 46 Rosenwald fellows were chosen, 29 Negro fellows and 15 White Southerners for a total of 88,500 dollars. Mr. Dean Dixon, Mr. Woodrow Wilson Crumbo, Ms. Elizabeth Hardwick, Mr. Bucklin Moon, and Mr. Richard Hamme were highlighted, as well as their prospective projects.
