An application from James Warren Prothro for a fellowship in Political Science. His plan of work was to do specialized study of Southern political theory directed toward a dissertation on the role of religion in Southern politics and to obtain a Ph.D. degree in Political Science. The grant was sought from September 1948 through September 1949 . This training would be done under the supervision of Professor Alpheus T. Mason at Princeton University. Also included is a Mr. Prothros breakdown of his budget estimate.
