An application from Robert Henry Lucas for a fellowship in Creative Writing. Mr. Lucas was a Freelance radio writer at the time of this application. His plan of work was to write 2 13 week series of radio scripts that would deal with Negroes, one for use in intercultural education in high schools, and the other for possible commercial sponsorship and aimed at the adult radio audience. The grant was needed as soon as possible .
