Description
An application from William Edward Highsmith for a fellowship in History. Mr. Highsmith was a Graduate assistant in the Department of History, Louisiana State University at the time of this application. His plan of work was to make a study of social and economic conditions in Louisiana throughout the Reconstruction period. The grant was sought from January 1949 through January 1950 . The training in History would be done under the supervision of Dr. T. Harry Williams at Louisiana State University.
