An application from Yvonne Gregory Perkins for a fellowship in Creative Writing. Ms. Perkins was a Freelance writer at the time of this application. Her plan of work was to write a collection of 14 related short stories with use of then present day Negro idiom and based on the American Negros projection of himself into the White culture through wish fantasy. The grant was sought from May 1948 through May 1949 .
