An application from Herman Davis Burrell for a fellowship in Sociology. Mr. Burrell was a Student at the University of Hawaii at the time of this application. His plan of work was to make a study of counter prejudice in Honolulu. The grant was sought from June 1948 through June 1949 . The training in Sociology would be done under the supervision of Dr. Jessie Steiner at the University of Washington.
