An application from Roscoe Cokling Brown, Jr. for a fellowship in Physical Education. Mr. Brown was an Instructor of Physical Education for West Virginia State College Institute, West Virginia at the time of this application. His plan of work was to study methods to develop activity consciousness through the intramural program in secondary schools. The grant was sought from July 1948 through July 1949 . The training in Physical Education would be done under the supervision of Professor Elmer Mitchell and staff at the University of Michigan.
