An application from Richard Henry Bjurberg for a fellowship in History. Mr. Bjurberg was an Instructor of History for Alabama Polytechnic Institute at the time of this application. His plan of work was to expand a study on the politicians in the State of Alabama throughout the period 1831 1861, the relationships between these politicians economic and social status and correlate such a study with their political views. The grant was sought from September 1948 through September 1949 . The training in History would be done under the supervision of either Dr. Frank Owsley at Vanderbilt University or Dr. Fletcher Green at North Carolina University or even Duke University.
