An application from Frank Harriott for a fellowship in CReative Writing. Mr. Harriott was a former Feature writer for the Newspaper PM, Inc. at the time of this application. His plan of work was to write a novel Night Song which would deal with the life and personality of a famous blues singer, Fern Williams, as remembered by 3 middle class Negroes. The grant was sought from June 1947 through June 1948 .
