An application from John Ansley Griffin for a fellowship in Sociology. Mr. Griffin was a Associate professor of Journalism for Emory University, as well as an Assistant to the President of the university at the time of this application. His plan of work was to undertake a year of graduate study at the University of Wisconsin in Sociology and Journalism. The grant was sought from September 1947 through September 1948 . The training in Sociology would be done under the supervision of Dr. T.C. McCormick at the University of Wisconsin.
