An application from Alvin Walcott Rose for a fellowship in Industrial Race RelationsSocial Organization. Mr. Rose was a Student at the University of Chicago at the time of this application. His plan of work was to do a sociological analysis of industrial social organization with the objective to isolate and examine relationships and ideological themes that were perceived to be functions of race, and eventually would relate these patterns to the larger society in which industry and industrial workers function or exist. The grant was sought from September 1946 through June 1947 . The training in Sociology would be done under the supervision of Dr. E.C. Hughes at the University of Chicago.
