Mr. Reed was a Junior chemist and Research assistant for Methalurgical Laboratories, University of Chicago at the time of this application. His plan of work was to study Nuclear Chemistry correlated with and applied to Organic and obtain a Ph.D. degree in Physicalorganic Chemistry. The grant was sought from September 1946 through September 1947 . The training in Chemistry would be done at the University of Chicago.
