His plan of work was to edit an anthology of slave narratives and to prepare a critical and historical study of their total background. The grant was sought from September 1946 through September 1947 . The training would be done under the supervision of Professors Stewart and Hedges at Brown University. Also included is Mr. Moon's breakdown of his budget estimate.
