Fellowship Application of Bucklin Moon
-
Description
-
An application from Bucklin Moon for a fellowship in Creative Writing. His plan of work was to write a novel about NegroWhite relationships in the South to show the conflict between 2 generations of Negroes, to give a picture of the Negro middle class, to show the effects of the trade union movement in the South, and to show the hopelessness of the position of the most good Southerners and what that position is doing to them. The grant was sought from June 1946 through June 1947 . Also included is Mr. Moon's breakdown of his budget estimate.
