An application from Mark Oakland Fax for a fellowship in MusicComposition. Mr. Fax was a Stockroom clerk for Taylor Instrument Companies at the time of this application. His plan of work was to obtain a Ph.D. degree and to compose music for large companies, voice, and orchestra, and a small amateur chorus. The grant was sought from September 1946 through September 1947 . The training in Composition would be done under the supervision of Dr. Howard Henson at the University of Rochester Eastman School of Music.
