An application from Dwight Wendell Culver for a fellowship in Race Relations. His plan of work was a historical and observational study of the treatment of the Negro in the churches recently united as The Methodist Church, which would include the history of segregation, a study of present institutional arrangements, and an evaluation of specific programs for the extension of interracial fellowship within the church. The grant was sought from June 1946 through June 1947 . The training in Religion would be done under the supervision of Professor H. Richard Neibuhr at Yale University.
