An application from Thomas Edward Posey for a fellowship in Workers Education. Mr. Posey was a Professor of Economics for W.Va. State College at the time of this application. His plan of work was to train Negro and White rank and file union leaders such as stewards, grievance committee men, local union officers, and union members in the economics of their industry. The grant was sought from 1945 through 1946 . The training in Economics and Workers Education would be done under the supervision of Mr. Selig Perlman and Mr. Ernest Schwarztrauber, respectively, at the University of Wisconsin.
