An application from Mynor Preston Payne for a fellowship in Communication Engineering. Mr. Payne was an Assistant engineer for the Transformer division of Federal Telephone and Radio Corp. at the time of this application. His plan of work was to study Audio and Radio Frequency Engineering, Applied Mathematics, and Mathematical Physics, and to conduct research, eventually obtaining a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. The grant was sought from September 1945 through June 1946 . The training in Electrical Engineering would be done under the supervision of Professor Walker at New York University, N.Y.C. Also included is Mr. Paynes breakdown of his budget estimate.
