Description
-
An application from Pearl L. Byrd Larsen for a fellowship in Elementary Education. Ms. Larsen was a Supervisor of Elementary Education for the Department of the Interior at the time of this application, and eventually she became the Superintendent of Education of St. Crow. Her plan of work was to reorganize the curriculum from 1922 and write a Course of Study for Grades 16 with the cooperation of teachers and community leaders. The grant was sought from 1945 through 1947 . The training in Elementary Education would probably be done under the supervision of Professor Roma Gans at Columbia University, N.Y.C.
