An application from James Lewis Henderson for a fellowship in Economics. Mr. Henderson was a Regional Information Specialist for Farm Security Adm., U.S.D.A. at the time of this application. His plan of work was to study the Exploitation of lowincome farmers and to write a booklength manuscript to expose those forces that exploit the Souths common man in Agriculture and rob him of the benefits of democratic processes, then publish it. The grant was sought from April 1945 through April 1946 .
