A letter of correspondence from Sidney Hollander to Mr. George M. Reynolds written on January 13, 1940. Mr. Hollander mentioned that there was an unfortunate shortage of trained and qualified Negro surgeons at the time, and acknowledged that there were few opportunities open to them. So Mr. Hollander recommended Floarda Hughes Howard towards his application to the Rosenwald Fund.
