Mr. Howard inquired if his application of July 18, 1939 (fellowship to do post graduate work in Surgery) was in good order. He had already communicated his plans with Dr. M.O. Bousfield, and he stated that he needed 2 more years in Residency to qualify for the American Board of Surgery.
