Description
-
A letter of correspondence from Jesse G.M. Bullowa to Dr. Michael M. Davis written on January 31, 1935. Mr. Bullowa wrote on behalf of Ernest Holder. Dr. Holder was a Pathological intern at Harlem Hospital for 2.5 years, prepared for medical school at Tufts University, and graduated from Meharry Medical College. Mr. Bullowa described Dr. Holder as very earnest, very careful, and very proficient at his work at Harlem Hospital, despite being an unsalaried intern. Mr. Bullowa relayed that Dr. Paul Klemperer (a pathologist at Mount Sinai Hospital) was willing to accept Dr. Holder as a volunteer in his laboratory, and this was approved by Dr. Otani, Dr. Gross (laboratory director), and Dr. Turner (medical director).
