A letter of correspondence from M.O. Bousfield to Ms. Vallateen V. Dudley written on May 21, 1936. Mr. Bousfield received a letter from Superintendent Archer of Louisville Public Schools that stated Ms. Dudley was granted a leave of absence. Mr. Bousfield was worried that Ms. Dudley took a leave of absence because her scholarship application was received, so he reminded Ms. Dudley that it wasnt certain she would even get the scholarship. The Scholarship Committee hadnt even agreed on a date to meet at the time.
