Description
-
A letter of correspondence from M.O. Bousfield to Ms. Edna Ila Purdie written on September 6, 1938. Mr. Bousfield acknowledged Ms. Purdies letter of September 2. He suggested she got permission from Dr. Whittington to sell Coca Cola in her department, while she let the drug clerk and the information clerk in the department to handle the sales Mr. Bousfield suggested this because he has seen it work successfully at Flint Goodridge Hospital, New Orleans. Mr. Bousfield also suggested Ms. Purdie supervise the matter herself, and the profit from the venture could be used to expand her library.
