The documents contain a 1943 fellowship application from Louise Young. The applicant was granted 1,550 dollars, for one year beginning in June, to study the social attitudes and social relationships obtaining in the group life of missionaries and native Christians in selected areas of the Far East under the supervision of Dr. Robert E. Park and Dr. Charles S. Johnson, then return to present position as a Professor of Sociology at Scarritt College, Nashville, Tennessee. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to the applicant, along with a handwritten note providing a review of the application.
