Description
-
The documents contain a 1947 fellowship application from Sadie Mae Yancey. The applicant was granted 2,000 dollars for one year, starting in September 1948, to prepare a booklet for use in schools where there is no organized guidance program and for use as supplementary material in schools where work is organized, towards a Ph.D. in Guidance and Personnel Administration in the Department of Education at Cornell University under the supervision of Dr. John E. King. Her chosen field was education. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant awarded to the applicant, and a handwritten note, stating, has spoken to me of Mrs. Yancey. He was shocked that we didnt appoint her last year.
