Description
The documents include fellowship applications for Marguerite Virginia Wood in 1942 and 1945. In 1942, the applicant requested a one year grant for an additional year of studying singing and other works, and in 1945, a ten month grant, for Concentrated preparation for a New York debut as a concert singer during the next concert season. Included are two handwritten evaluative notes assigning grades of A and A , respectively, and a brief written assessment of the application.
