Description
An application from Elizabeth Lewis Wilson in 1946, requesting a grant for one year beginning in September to write a doctoral dissertation in the field of race relations, the study and application of Protestant doctrine and theological ideas to interracial practices. Upon completion of the degree to work in race relations in Los Angeles and teach race relations and religion in college. Wishes to work toward a Ph.D. at the University of Southern California under the supervision of Dean Irl G. Whitchurch. The chosen field is Race Relations. Also contained is a handwritten evaluative note. It assigns a grade of B and contains a brief written assessment, including the phrase “good young person, Excellent graduate.”
