Title
Written Addendum and Fellowship Application from Earline Cary Williams
Description
An application from Earline Cary Williams in 1945 requesting a school-year grant for 1945 to 1946. Her plan was based on a survey of the reading needs of the teachers and pupils in the 46 elementary schools of this parish. She hoped to gather information regarding books, pamphlets, periodicals, and other reading materials for teachers and pupils, as well as methods of presenting subject matter, and to learn to recognize a successful reading program in preparation for her M.A. at Columbia University under the supervision of Dr. Thomas L. Hopkins. Then, return to current position as Jeanes supervisor, East Feliciana Parish School Board, Clinton, Louisiana.
