The documents contain fellowship applications from Emma Louise Whit for 1944 and 1947. The plan of work for 1944 was to explore the field of medical education available to Negroes in the United States, and the plan of work for 1947 was to make a study of the preprofessional, professional, and graduate professional education available to Negroes, wiht special refernce to the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, and Nursing, both plans were toards a Ph. D. degree at Ohio State University. Included is a handwritten note, assigning a grade of B and a brief written assessment evaluating the applications.
