A memorandum summarizing the grants awarded to Weir Charles Edwards in 1937, 1938, and 1939 to study quantum mechanics and chemistry at the California Institute of Technology, as well as other works towards a Ph.D. degree, under the guidance of Drs. Linus Pauling and R. A. Millikan. He was given 1,500 dollars in 1937, 1,300 dollars in 1938 as a renewal, then 300 dollars for the summer of 1939.
