The documents contain a 1943 Scholarship Aid application, a 1945 application, and a 1946 application from Phyllis Annie Wallace, a student. The applicant was awarded a scholarship for studies in Political science at Yale University, toward a masters degree. In 1945, Was also given 1300 dollars, a nine-month grant beginning in September for a historical, analytical survey of the role of machine tools in the industrialization of the U.S., encompassing a two-fold purpose, towards a Ph.D. at Yale University under the supervision of Dr. E. Wight Bakke. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grants awarded, along with two handwritten evaluative notes on the application. It assigns a grade of A minus and A respectively, and brief written assessments on the applications.
