Description
An application from Harry Joseph Walker, a research Assistant and Instructor in Sociology, in 1937 and 1938 renewal, requesting a one-year grant beginning July, for graduate study at the University of Chicago for two quarters, and collaboration with a white graduate student of the University in a study of white and Negro life in a southern community. Also reapplied in 1942 for the continuation of graduate study at the University of Chicago for the purpose of completing formal graduate study, and other works. Included is a handwritten evaluative note assigning an A and providing a brief assessment of the application.
