An application from Evelyn Morgan Von Herrmann, a graduate student, in 1946, requesting a nine-month grant beginning in September, to make a study of the effect which the YWCA area meetings for college students held yearly in each of the ten southeastern states have upon the attitudes of the Negro and white students who attend. Wishes to work for a Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina under Professor Ralph Steele Boggs. Included is a handwritten evaluative note that assigns a grade of B+ and contains a brief assessment of the application.
