In 1942, the applicant requested a grant for nine months of advanced study with Edgar Schofield in preparation for concert appearances. In 1943, reapplied for a one-year grant to study for nine months with Mr. Frank LaFarge in New York City and to have a recital in Town Hall beginning in September. Included is a handwritten evaluative note on the application.
