Description
The documents contain applications from 1943 and 1944 by William Bradley Twitty, a Farmer and graduate student. Applied in 1943 for a grant to study community and southern regional planning with distinguished leaders, and other works towards a master of Arts degree at the University of North Carolina for one year beginning in June. Reapplied in 1944 and was awarded 1800 dollars to do part time graduate work under Dr. Howard Odum and part time field work in an all Negro rural community.  Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant award, along with two evaluative notes. One assigns an A, but both include written assessments in the applications.
