An application from Altona Trent Johns in 1945, requesting a fifteen month grant beginning in June to enlist rural Negro people for musical and artistic expression at established rural centers with a view to the general enrichment of rural life at the Atlanta School of Social Work and at the Eastman School of Music or the University of Pennsylvania. Included is a handwritten evaluative note. It assigns a grade of B dollars and includes a brief written assessment on the application.
