Description
The documents contain a 1944 application from James Harrison Tipton. The applicant was awarded 1,500 dollars to study psychology, psychiatry, and psychoanalysis with a view of developing a plan for the rural southern community to accomplish the full development of the personalities of children through education, recreation, and social work.  Included is a memorandum summarizing the grant award, as well as a handwritten evaluative note assigning an A and providing a brief written assessment of the application.
