Application for Robert Tallant
-
Description
-
A 1946 and 1947 application file for Robert Tallant, a free lance writer and former editor of the Louisiana Writers Project. He requested 1,500 dollars in 1946 and 1947 to write a definitive book on the New Orleans Mardi Gras. Handwritten evaluations express some dissatisfaction with Voodoo and negro spiritualism topics, but acknowledge him as a successful writer.
