The plan of work was to study unique solutions to educational problems concerning Negro education - an example is the problem which confronted the Negro youth of East Central Missouri before Mr. Shropshire established the Festus Cooperative High School - and to obtain a Ph.D. degree at the University of Nebraska under the supervision of Dr. K.O. Broady. This application was submitted in 1943, and the chosen field is Education.
