An application from Mahlon Clifton Rhaney, requesting a grant beginning June 1941. The plan of work was to obtain a Master's degree in Zoology at the University of Minnesota. This application was submitted in 1941, and the chosen field is Biology-Zoology. Included is a memorandum summarizing the grants awarded to Mr. Rhaney across 1941 and 1946, as well as handwritten notes: Abrilliant youngster. He seems to me too immature for a Rosenwald fellowship [illegible] and Good man at good univ. A fine teacher as well as competent scholar [illegible].
